Dark and gloomy skies confronted the Collingwood team in its first training session of the preseason.

Practice was held at Olympic Park in front of coaches and doctors.

Due to the impending rain forecast, the team held a two kilometre time trial in the early morning.

Ryan Cook led the way with a time of 6:14. Jaxson Barham was second with 6:17 and Travis Cloke rounded out the top three with a time of 6:22.

The team also completed a light skills session before heading back into the Lexus gym to train with weights.
