Outlook
The sublimely talented forward burst out of the blocks in 2009 and booted 37 goals in the first 13 rounds, including five against the Western Bulldogs in round nine and six the following week in a best-afield display against Essendon. However, a hip complaint grounded the star Cat and, even when he made a comeback later in the season, he did not move freely. The club sent him to a specialist in Hobart and, after a few weeks’ rest, he returned for the preliminary final. Didn’t have a big impact in the Grand Final but is again fully fit and will threaten many a defence this season.
