Geelong is one of the most successful clubs at ‘reserve’ level, taking the flag 15 times. The league instituted a reserve grade in 1919 before it wound up the competition in 1999. The Cats won 13 reserve premierships, and added the 2002 and 2007 VFL flags under the revised format for second tier competition.
